Creggs face Ballinasloe
Creggs first XV face Ballinasloe on Sunday next, while the second team face Castlebar. Both games are due to take place in Creggs and are provisionally fixed for Sunday.
Weather woes resulted in the first’s game against Loughrea, scheduled to take place in Loughrea on Sunday, being cancelled.
Training for u15s continues on Wednesday night at the usual time of 7 pm. The next round of the Connacht u15 league is away to Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday next, details of which will be announced at training.
U13s take on Ballinasloe
Creggs U13s played out a very enjoyable friendly game with Ballinasloe in Moher field, Ballinasloe, on Saturday last. Creggs opened brightly and dominated proceedings for the first 15 minutes, scoring tries through Kevin Gavin (2) and Brian Diffley. The forwards were winning a good share of possession with Simon Spain, Michael Kelly and Brian Diffley and the backs through Dara Gunning, Michael Farrell, Conor Gore and Kevin Gavin were using the ball well. However Ballinasloe got into the game and scored some excellent tries themselves. They continued in this vein into the second half with Shane Dowd scoring Creggs’ only try in this period. Creggs had other good performers in Jack Gunning, Andrew Clarke, Brian Garvey and John Keegan.

Creggs U8, U9, U10, U11 and U12 had a very enjoyable morning on Saturday for training. Training continues next Saturday at 11 am. All new members welcome.
